Boat Show

This weekend (9th, 10th & 11th) October will see our annual Boat Shows being held at both Largs and Troon Yacht Havens. (See banner above) We have over 100 boats on display for visitors to view. At Largs we have the new Prestige 39 in our showroom. This model was shown for the first time only last month at the Southampton Boat Show. Its exciting new design and styling have it in a class of its own. We will be pleased to welcome you to the showroom on any wet, windy and cold day, to see this in a dry and heated environment.

FUN RACE

Once again we will be holding our Jeanneau Fun Race at the beginning of September. This years it will be Saturday the 5th and will take the now well tested format of a pursuit race starting off Largs and finishing at the Colintraive Hotel at the top of the East Kyle. All Jeanneau Owners are invited to come along and join in the fun. Entry forms will be posted to all the owners we know of in the next week or so. Alternativly please use the following links to see the notice of race and the entry form which can be downloaded and returned to us. Last year we enjoyed near perfect conditions with a brisk fetch across the firth and an exiting beat up the kyle to the finish. On arrival we hosted our reception for all competitors in the Hotel beer garden and presented prizes to the winning crews.

New Models

Two new models have now been added to theJeanneau range. A new flag ship in the Sun Odyssey 57 and a new family cruiser - the Sun Odyssey 33i. The first of these new, Category A (Unlimited ocean) 33 footers in the UK will be delivered to Euroyachts at Largs during the first week in June and will be on show in the showroom from then onwards. A Marc Lombard design in which he has combined a swift hull with good volume and comfort on board, available in three different rig choices and two keel configurations. No other boat in its class offers the full range of features and amenities that you will find aboard the all-new Sun Odyssey 33i. In the new Sun Odyssey 57 you are welcomed to a new level of exclusive and luxurious comfort in an offshore cruiser.

February / March

As the new season rushes towards us, we find ourselves fitting out several boats in time for easter handovers to their new owners. Pictured here are two new Sun Odyssey 36 out side our new showroom, being made ready for the water. Inside the showroom we still have a large selection of both power and sailing yachts to see. The recent harsh and miserable weather conditions have made boat viewing a positive pleasure for those that have ventured out. So while it is still not weather for picking your way through the puddles to climb ladders onto wet boats, why not visit us here and enjoy the dry, heated enviroment.

Launch and opening

Friday the 21st saw our new showroom officially open for business. Opening duties were undertaken by local MSP Kenneth Gibson after a welcome speech from our Managing Director Angus Scott to a gathering of some eighty assembled dignitaries, friends and customers. We were particularly pleased to welcome Didier Greggory Jeanneau's Director General who had travelled from France that morning. He spoke well of our relationship over the last 30 years and our mutual commitment to each other for the future. In the cold north wind that brought snow to many parts of the country that day, the guests experienced the unusual delight of being able to inspect ten Jeanneau craft in the comfort of the new heated showroom. Outside we had on display, courtesy of her very kind owners Mr. & Mrs. J. Young, the Folkboat "Morag II" . This highlighted the first activities of Euroyachts as importer of the East German built Folk Boat and demonstrated a stark contrast to the more modern cruisers that are now our stock in trade. Over the following Saturday and Sunday we welcomed some 150 customers who had taken up our invitiation to come along for a tour of the new facilities and a look at all of the new models on display.
