Despite torrential rain overnight and a dubious forecast 15 Jeanneau yachts started the 12th edition of our Fun Race on the 7th of September. In what transpired to be a light airs run all the way from the north end of Cumbrae it was the Bute based Sun Dream 28 “Blue Ark” which was the first to cross the finish line at Colintriave. As the slowest boat in the fleet she was first away and was never passed. The Sun Odyssey 379 “Eureka IV” was second and the Sun Odyssey 409 “Prevail” was third. Our thanks go out to Patricia at the Colintriave Hotel for doing her usual excellent job and also to Largs sailing Club, the Scottish Sailing Institute and the Clyde Cruising Club for their help with race management. Pictured here are some of the yachts at anchor/mooring buoy in the bay at Colintraive. The results can be seen by clicking here.
